Excellent material

Kids karate kimonos are made of a blend of durable polyester (65%) and cotton (35%). The combination of these two materials makes the kimono not only light and pleasant to the touch, but also flexible and thus resistant to tearing.

 

 

Comfortable pants

The kimono pants are combined with traditional binding with an additional elastic band, which in the case of children significantly improves the use of the outfit by preventing the pants from slipping during training.

 

Reinforcement system

All kimono elements exposed to tears have been secured with an additional reinforcing insert to provide resistance to damage during exercise.

Given the cotton shrinkage during washing, the easiest way to choose the size is to grow a child + 1 size. For example, for a child 130 cm tall, we suggest size 140.

What karate kimono for children?

Children’s karate kimono should be made of soft and light material. Recommended weight is about 200 g / m2. The optimal composition of materials is cotton and polyester – the recommended proportion is about 65% cotton and 35% polyester. These proportions ensure training comfort and make the material resistant to tearing.

 

What size karate kimono should you choose?

Cotton as a natural material has a tendency to shrink during washing, so it is worth choosing a size larger than the child’s height, e.g. if the child is 120 cm tall, it is recommended to choose a size of 130 cm.

 

What kimono for kumite training (combat)

Kumite kimonos should be made of soft, lightweight material to ensure freedom of movement during combat. For professional kimonos, additional ventilation nets are used on the back to provide better ventilation.

 

What kimono for kata training?

The kata training kimono should have a heavier weight (about 350 g.m2) and be made of stiffer material, which will make “noise” when making molds.
